Tattoo Healing Guidelines
For the first two weeks, follow these steps to ensure proper healing:
✔ Limit Sun Exposure – Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight to prevent fading and irritation.
✔ Avoid Submerging Your Tattoo – Do not soak your tattoo in pools, lakes, rivers, hot tubs, or bathtubs. Showers are fine, but keep it as dry as possible.
🚫 DO NOT TOUCH YOUR TATTOO WITH DIRTY HANDS! Always wash your hands before handling your tattoo to prevent infection.
Cleaning & Moisturizing Your Tattoo
1️⃣ First 2 Hours – Keep the protective wrap on for at least two hours after getting your tattoo.
2️⃣ First Wash – Gently wash your tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap and warm water. Pat dry with a paper towel or let it air dry—never use a cloth towel.
3️⃣ Moisturizing – Apply a thin layer of After Inked Aftercare Lotion or an unscented white lotion like Lubriderm or Aquaphor.
4️⃣ Ongoing Care – Continue washing 2-3 times daily and moisturizing as needed for at least two weeks.
5️⃣ Protect Your Tattoo – Use a sterile bandage or dressing when necessary to protect it from dirt and bacteria.
